Rachel Boone is the founder of TriLeaf Designs, a Graphic Design and Web Programming firm that has a passion for environmental issues and supporting the community. Rachel first became interested in environmental issues in regards to Graphic Design while attending Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. She has received her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and Graphic Design, minored in Art History, extensively studied Business Management and photography. Rachel then proceeded to obtain her certificate in Web Design and Programming from the University of Missouri – Saint Louis. She holds a strong belief that you cannot do a job completely until you understand every aspect that is involved with it. To make sure she understood every aspect of design, Rachel held various positions ranging from a Production Worker at a print shop to a Design Specialist at a design firm. After working in all aspects of the field for seven years, Rachel started TriLeaf Designs and is now watching the company grow and morph into its full potential.
Besides TriLeaf Designs, Rachel is very involved with the Ozark Trail Association, specifically leading and teaching groups about trail building. TriLeaf Designs as a company has even adopted part of the trail and completes team building weekends to maintain it. Helping sooth your craving to helping the community, TriLeaf Designs sponsors multiple non-profit organizations and hosts MyGreenSTL. MyGreenSTL is a place where St. Louisans can share ideas, showcase community projects and bring a voice to the projects that local citizens would like to have completed in their city.
Believing that if you want to make change, you need to start with the next generation, Rachel created Liam the Leafman. Liam is the original Spokesleaf for TriLeaf Designs and he is currently building a full cast of characters that will fight environmental issues through comics, kid books and a kid focused website. Between running TriLeaf Designs and having fun with MyGreenSTL, Liam the Leafman, and the Ozark Trail Association, Rachel makes time for her husband Keith, dog Abby, red eared slider turtles Bella and Crush, and her bearded dragons Spartacus and Sandstone. When asked what the keys to success are, Rachel always answers that it is first of all being passionate about what you do. After that it is about integrity, being honest, providing great customer service, and having a great team to back you. Lastly, remembering where you came from and knowing where you going will keep you on track to meeting your goals.
Originally from San Antonio Texas, Rachel uses all of her experiences in the field to coordinate the two very different sides of TriLeaf, the creativity involved with graphics and the analytic nature of programming. This collaboration of these two departments, with the use of in-house and out-of-house designers and programs, brings the exact expertise needed to each and every project. These attributes, as well as their focus on community, truly makes Rachel Boone and TriLeaf Designs like no other company around.
